'Touching the Lid of Hyperbole'
I felt a shift in the Force. With microsoft paint in the hands of the working class, communism has never felt more inevitable than it does right now.
In a word, yeah.In 2 words, hell yeah.It was tempting to draw a hairy cock and balls spunking it up everywhere, but I thought to myself, 'no, this is the greatest socialist statement since "There is a spectre haunting Europe." Let's not cheapen this.'
You know the rumour that the first English language translation of the Manifesto had "Hobgoblin" instead of "Spectre"?! I mean, imagine...
Mark Steel recounts that in his Lecture on Marx, if memory serves, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.I think the phrase is supposed to have been 'frightful hobgoblin' which is just fantastically National Trust, isn't it?
